Active Optical Cable

An active fiber optic cable that has modules at both ends of a fiber optic cable that allow direct communication between devices via the permanently linked fiber optic cable. It has fixed connectors on both ends and a specified length of cable. AOC's are essentially a transceiver product permanently embedded in a fiber optic cable.

InfiniBand is an industry-standard specification for Single Data Rate, DDR, QDR, FDR, EDR, HDR and NDR that defines an input/output architecture used to interconnect servers, communications infrastructure equipment, storage and embedded systems used in high-performance computing that features very high throughput and very low latency. InfiniBand is also used as either a direct or switched interconnect between servers and storage systems, as well as an interconnect between storage systems the high-speed cable products it needs have strict requirements for speed and delay.

Besides all our products being manufactured to ISO9001, ISO14000, CE, RoHS, FCC standards all our DAC's and AOC's are InifiBand standard and are extensively tested for low bit error ratings, yielding substantially better results than most competitors.
