CM-110-S1ST20U 10/100Base-TX Managed Media and Rate Converter Module.
This module converts 10/100Base-TX Ethernet over RJ-45 (up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 100Base-BX single-strand fiber using 1310nm TX and 1550nm RX wavelengths on single-mode fiber with an ST connector, supporting distances up to 20 km (12.4 miles). It supports both managed and unmanaged operation.
Designed for use in the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems, this media and rate converter enables seamless, transparent connections between UTP copper and fiber networks.
Engineered for secure network environments, these Managed Modules—when paired with an MCR-MGT Management Module in the chassis—support full authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) protocols commonly used in enterprise networks, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To further protect sensitive login credentials from interception, Perle Managed Fiber Converters support encrypted management access through SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
