CM-1000-SFP Managed Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter Module.
Connects 1000BASE-T (RJ-45) [up to 100 m/328 ft.] to 1000BASE-X via an empty SFP slot. Operates in either managed or unmanaged mode.
This Fiber-to-Ethernet media converter is designed for installation in MCR200 or MCR1900 modular chassis systems, enabling seamless copper-to-fiber connectivity. The SFP slot supports a wide range of network configurations using pluggable transceivers from Perle, Cisco, or any MSA-compliant SFP provider.
Ideal for secure network environments, these managed modules, when used with an MCR-MGT Management Module installed in the chassis, support full AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) services—including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To ensure secure access and protect credentials from interception, Perle Managed Media Converters also support encrypted management sessions via SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
