Converts 10/100/1000BASE-T (RJ-45) [up to 100 m / 328 ft] to 1000BASE-X or 100BASE-X via an SFP slot (SFP not included). Supports both managed and unmanaged modes.
This Fiber-to-Ethernet media converter is designed for installation in MCR200 or MCR1900 modular chassis systems, enabling seamless UTP copper-to-fiber connections. Its SFP slot supports flexible fiber configurations with transceivers from Perle, Cisco, or other MSA-compliant manufacturers.
Ideal for secure network environments, these managed modules—when used with an MCR-MGT management module—enable full support for corporate AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) services, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. For enhanced security, Perle Managed Fiber Converters offer encrypted management access via SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS, safeguarding credentials from network eavesdropping.
