CM-100-S1SC20D Managed Fast Ethernet Media Converter Module.
This module converts 100Base-TX (RJ-45) copper Ethernet signals (up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 100Base-BX single-strand fiber using 1550nm TX and 1310nm RX wavelengths on single-mode fiber with an SC connector, supporting distances up to 20 km (12.4 miles). It can operate in managed or unmanaged mode.
Designed for installation in the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems, this fiber-to-Ethernet media converter provides transparent connectivity between UTP copper and fiber networks.
These Managed Modules are tailored for environments where network security is essential. When used with an MCR-MGT Management Module installed in the chassis, they support a full range of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) security protocols common in corporate networks, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To further protect usernames and passwords from interception, Perle Managed Fiber Converters enable secure management sessions via SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
