This Fiber-to-Ethernet Media Converter is designed for installation in MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems, enabling transparent copper-to-fiber connectivity.
These managed modules are ideal for network environments requiring high security. When used with an MCR-MGT Management Module within the chassis, they support a wide range of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) security protocols commonly used in enterprise networks, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To further enhance security, Perle Managed Fiber Converters offer encrypted management sessions via SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS—helping to safeguard credentials from unauthorized access.
