CM-110-S1SC20U 10/100Base-TX Managed Media and Rate Converter Module.
This module converts 10/100Base-TX (RJ-45) Ethernet (up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 100Base-BX single-strand fiber, using 1310nm TX and 1550nm RX wavelengths on single-mode fiber with an SC connector, supporting distances up to 20 km (12.4 miles). It offers both managed and unmanaged modes.
Designed for installation in the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems, this fiber-to-Ethernet converter facilitates seamless, transparent connections between UTP copper and fiber.
These Managed Modules are optimized for environments where network security is critical. When used in conjunction with an MCR-MGT Management Module in the chassis, they provide full support for AAA (authentication, authorization, and accounting) security protocols commonly employed in enterprise networks, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To further protect sensitive credentials from network eavesdropping, Perle Managed Fiber Converters offer secure management sessions via SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
