CM-4GPT-DSFP Protocol Transparent Managed Media Converter Module.
This managed media converter module features dual (empty) SFP slots and supports two SFP transceivers operating at identical speeds of up to 4.25 Gbps.
Designed for protocol- and rate-transparent conversion, it allows network administrators to integrate various fiber types and wavelengths within or between networks via fiber-to-fiber mode conversion. The modular SFP ports provide flexible network configurations, compatible with SFPs from Perle, Cisco, or any MSA-compliant vendor. It is intended for use within the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems.
Optimized for secure networking environments, these managed modules—when used with an MCR-MGT Management Module—enable support for a full range of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) services such as TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To safeguard credentials and sensitive data from interception, Perle Managed Fiber Converters also support secure management protocols including SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
