SMI-1000-M2SC2 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter.

A managed Fiber-to-Ethernet media converter that transparently connects copper and fiber networks. It converts 1000BASE-T (RJ-45) connections up to 100 m (328 ft.) to 1000BASE-LX extended multimode fiber at 1310 nm using SC connectors, with support for distances up to 2 km (6,562 ft.).

Designed for security-critical environments, it supports enterprise AAA services including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. To prevent credential snooping, secure management access is provided through SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
