Perle SRS-1110-GST05 Industrial Gigabit Media Rate Converter
The Perle SRS-1110-GST05 is a ruggedized industrial media rate converter designed to bridge 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet over copper (RJ-45, up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 1000BASE-SX multimode fiber at 850 nm (ST connector, up to 550 m / 1804 ft). Built for harsh environments, it supports an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F).
Housed in a DIN-rail mountable enclosure, the unit features a terminal block (Combicon) power connector for connection to an external power source. It is fully compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, making it well suited for electric utility and power substation applications.
The SRS-1110-G series transparently connects CAT5/6/7 UTP copper networks to Gigabit dual-fiber links, ensuring reliable performance in electrically noisy and demanding industrial environments. In addition to power utility certifications, the converter meets EN 61000-4-16 requirements for enhanced electrical immunity.
Designed for use in hazardous industrial locations, the SRS media converters carry multiple hazardous location certifications, including ATEX Class 1 Zone 2 and ANSI/ISA 12.12.01 Class 1 Division 2 (Groups A–D). This ensures safe, dependable operation in areas where flammable gases, vapors, or combustible liquids may be present.
