The IOLAN SDG1 W is a secure wireless serial device server designed to connect RS232, RS422, or RS485 equipment to Ethernet networks over Wi-Fi. It operates as a wireless LAN client supporting IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and also includes 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connectivity with full IPv6 support. The device features a DB9 male connector with software-selectable serial interfaces, a built-in COM port redirector for easy application integration, and advanced security capabilities such as data encryption, user authentication, and event management. With 15 kV ESD protection and an included AC power adapter, the SDG1 W is ideal for applications requiring reliable, authentic serial communications across a wireless LAN using wireless access points.
