The Perle IOLAN SCG18 R-MD is a modular console server designed for secure remote management in data center and telecommunications environments. It offers 16 RS232 RJ45 ports with software-configurable Cisco pinouts, dual USB ports, a front-panel display and keyboard, and two auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Ethernet combo ports (RJ45 or SFP). Additional features include an integrated RJ45 V.92 modem, Micro SD card slot, Micro USB and RS232 RJ45 admin console ports, IPv4/IPv6 routing, ZTP, REST and Python support, cloud connectivity, advanced encryption, user authentication, event management, COM port redirection, 15 kV ESD protection, and dual-feed DC power. The system is expandable using IOLAN G16 interface cards.

The IOLAN SCG M Console Server family enables secure access to devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, PBXs, storage, and security appliances through IP networks or modem dial-up. Its modular design allows flexible scaling with interchangeable 16-port USB 3.0, RS232 RJ45, or software-selectable RS232/422/485 RJ45 interface modules.

With full routing support (RIP, OSPF, BGP), Zero Touch Provisioning, two-factor authentication, an integrated firewall, multi-network failover, and strong encryption and authentication mechanisms, the IOLAN SCG18 R-MD ensures secure and reliable out-of-band management.

The dual-feed 48 VDC power supply, supporting a 24–60 VDC input range, makes it a dependable solution for mission-critical telecom and data center deployments.
