CM-110-M2ST2 10/100Base-TX Managed Media and Rate Converter Module.
This module converts 10/100Base-TX (RJ-45) [100 m / 328 ft] to 100Base-FX 1310nm multimode fiber (ST) [2 km / 1.2 miles], with support for both managed and unmanaged operation modes.
Designed for integration into the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis Systems, it enables seamless connectivity between UTP copper and fiber optic networks.
These managed converter modules are ideal for high-security network environments. When used with an MCR-MGT Management Module in the chassis, they support a wide range of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) protocols commonly used in enterprise networks—including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA.
For added protection against unauthorized access and data interception, Perle Managed Fiber Converters support secure management protocols such as SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS, ensuring safe and encrypted sessions for network administrators.
