SR-100-ST20U Fast Ethernet Industrial Media Converter.
This industrial media converter enables conversion from 100Base-TX (RJ-45) Ethernet (up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 100Base-BX single-strand fiber, utilizing 1310nm TX and 1550nm RX wavelengths on single-mode fiber with an ST connector, supporting distances up to 20 km (12.4 miles). It comes in a DIN rail case and features a terminal block (Combicon) power connector for connecting to an external power source.
The Perle SR-100 DIN Rail Media Converter provides transparent connectivity between Fast Ethernet UTP (CAT5/6/7) copper and single-strand fiber. When using single-strand (also known as Bi-Directional, BiDi, or Simplex) fiber, two devices—referred to as Up/Down models—are needed to complete the fiber conversion.
