SR-100-ST2U Fast Ethernet Industrial Media Converter.
The SR-100-ST2U is an industrial-grade Fast Ethernet media converter that bridges 100Base-TX copper (RJ-45, up to 100 m / 328 ft) to 100Base-BX single-strand fiber. It transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm over multimode ST fiber, supporting distances of up to 2 km (1.2 miles). The unit features a DIN-rail–mountable enclosure and a Combicon terminal block for connection to an external power source.
Perle SR-100 DIN Rail Media Converters provide transparent conversion between Fast Ethernet CAT5/6/7 UTP copper and single-strand fiber. When using single-strand fiber—also known as bi-directional (BiDi) or simplex fiber—a matched pair of converters (Up and Down models) is required to complete the link.
