eX-1CM110-BNC Managed Fast Ethernet Extender Module.
This module features a single 10/100Base-TX (RJ-45) port and a BNC (Coax) Interlink connector utilizing VDSL2 technology. When installed in the MCR200 or MCR1900 Modular Chassis System, this Perle Ethernet Extender Module enables data transmission over distances up to 10,000 feet (3 KM). It is designed to use a single twisted pair (CAT5/6/7), coax cable, or any existing copper wiring previously employed in alarm circuits, E1/T1 circuits, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CCTV, and CATV applications.
Specifically engineered for environments where the LAN is being extended and network security is critical, these Managed Modules provide robust protection. By using them in conjunction with an MCR-MGT Management Module installed in the chassis, support is enabled for all authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) security services used in corporate networks, including TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, and RSA. Furthermore, to safeguard IDs and passwords from potential network "snooping," Perle Managed Ethernet Extenders ensure secure management sessions by supporting SSH, SNMPv3, Telnet, and HTTPS.
